Pediatric Nutrition

Pediatric nutrition counseling takes place in a kitchen setting. While sitting around the table, she will work with you and your child on meal planning, reading food labels, and healthy portion sizes. In doing this, you and your child will learn about healthy food choices, specific to age, activity level and health needs.

Laura worked at Texas Children's Hospital for 22 years in a variety of areas including: critical care, feeding disorders, gastrointestinal diseases and conditions, and eating disorders.  Additionally, she was the Manager of the Nutritional Support Team and the Nutrition and Gastroenterology Clinic. She helped to create manuals for the treatment of childhood obesity, diabetes, and educational materials for a variety of nutritional conditions. During her time at TCH she realized the importance of the family table and published A Weigh of Life, Cookbook for Today's Family.
